Conference Excursion: Flower Dome & Cloud Forest
Wednesday 25 February, afternoon
Join us for an excursion to the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest conservatories at Gardens by the Bay — one of Singapore’s most iconic attractions.
The Flower Dome is the world’s largest columnless glass greenhouse, featuring plants from Mediterranean and semi-arid regions across five continents. The Cloud Forest houses a 35-metre indoor waterfall and a lush tropical mountain landscape.
Getting There
A free shuttle bus will depart from UTown (NUS) after the Wednesday lunch break, around 13:00.
Tickets
Participants need to purchase their own admission tickets in advance. You will need the Flower Dome + Cloud Forest combo ticket for Wednesday 25 February. Tickets can be purchased at:

Getting Back
Please arrange your own transport back to your hotel. Here are your options:
By taxi (easiest): The taxi stand is at the Visitor Services Center near the Main Gate entrance. You can also book a taxi at the Canopy, opposite the main ticketing counter, or use the Grab app (Singapore’s equivalent of Uber). A taxi to the conference hotels takes around 15–20 minutes and costs approximately SGD 10–15.
By MRT (option 1 — shortest): Walk to Gardens by the Bay MRT station (TE22), about 5 minutes from the conservatories. Take the Thomson-East Coast Line (brown) towards Woodlands North to Outram Park (TE17). Transfer to the East-West Line (green) towards Joo Koon and ride to Buona Vista (EW21). Total journey: ~25–30 minutes.
- Park Avenue Rochester — 7-minute walk from Buona Vista station.
- Citadines Science Park — from Buona Vista, take the Circle Line (yellow) 2 stops to Kent Ridge (CC24), then a 5-minute walk.
By MRT (option 2): Walk to Bayfront MRT station (CE1/DT16) via the Dragonfly Bridge (~10–15 minutes). Take the Downtown Line (blue) towards Bukit Panjang to Botanic Gardens (DT9). Transfer to the Circle Line (yellow) towards HarbourFront and ride to Buona Vista (CC22) or Kent Ridge (CC24). Total journey: ~27 minutes plus the walk to Bayfront.
⚠️ Do not take the Circle Line from Bayfront — it goes the long way around Singapore and takes ~50 minutes!
